Write an e-mail to
angeltours@gmail.com.
Tell us how many people are in your group, their age groups
(Adult, Student, Teen, Child, Infant), and what tours you want
to book.
We have kept our meeting points exactly the same for the last 6 years, we do have to change the time from time to time but we will always let you know
Yes, we do private tours.
Your tour guide will meet you at your hotel and the tour will go on as long
as you wish.
Certain other companies charge by the hour and
so the guide is encouraged to stand in lines and take you the
"long way round".
But be assured, we do not do this. If,
on a private tour, you want to take a taxi the fee of the taxi
should be paid for by you, but your guide will make sure
the driver is fair and honest.
HOW DO YOU PAY FOR THE TOUR?
We are more happy if you can pre pay using a credit
card or PayPal to our central office in Dublin, Angel Tours ltd.
When you book a tour, ask if you can prepay and we will organize
that.
You can use cash on the day, Euros, US Dollars, UK pounds or solid gold.
WHAT IS YOUR ANGEL'S BACKGROUND?
Most of our guides have a history in crime and drunken
pub brawls.
THAT IS A JOKE. The guides are all fully trained, and have
studied history, art, architecture, archaeology or classical civilization
in university and they are all licensed.
WILL YOUR ANGEL SPEAK GOOD ENGLISH AND OTHER LANGUAGES
All our guides are English speakers. Most of them
are fluent in at least one other language, depending on the city
they are working in.
Most of us are Irish, with a few English guys
and even a Scot here and there if they behave. We once even had a
Welshman brave enough to leave home. Some of our administration
staff is Italian: Tatjana the Angel Tours manager in Rome is
German.
If you want to get to know locals, and you should as the Romans are very nice people, just pay attention to their dogs, a chat will follow.
Hotels and B&Bs in and around Rome
We at Angel Tours have worked for years now with these hotels and can fully recommend
Hotel Santa ChiaraAgain we have worked with this hotel for 4 years, Federica is dependable and the hotel is right beside the Pantheon. Rick Steves also recommends this hotel. You can't go wrong.
Hotel Caesar House on Via Cavour is also very close to the Colosseum. The staff are all wonderful: We love them because they really care, are very friendly and make a fantastic breakfast.
Anne and David run a beautiful country house BB 30mins from Rome, well worth the travel since they do assist you getting to and from Rome. The area is country side, fresh air with real Italian style feel to it. And these guys know how to take care of their guests.
Ivano runs this B&B with charm and wit, his cooking is often mentioned in online feedback. He is a true gentleman with a nice Italian manner. Ivano will take good care of you, his B&B is close to Annes Place so they often work together and help each other out. We love these guys they are the real thing.
NEW NEW NEW!!! One year old, 30mins from Rome, on the beach. Book fast, the rooms are actually hotel-style. Again I like them because the staff is genuine. They have gone the extra mile for many of their guests. The artwork inside was painted by Giovanni, our former Rome Manager.

Over the telephone or by email we recommend the hotels, hotels in the real centre of Rome. Near the Colosseum, Pantheon, Roman Forum, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona, and St. Peter's Basilica.
If we tell you online about our favourite hotels, the ones which are not so good won't be happy with us.
The guys at the souvenir stand have told our angels that if they take their guests to them they will give Angel Tours Rome a 50% commission! So remember you could buy things 50% cheaper and they would still make a profit.
Always try to telephone your hotel or transport service, you can always judge their manner over the telephone
